CONTRIBUTING TO SDG 3

GOOD HEALTH & WELLBEING

It is our aim to become a self-sustained social enterprise using our products to fund a portfolio of community projects in the infant safety and nutrition space that supports the delivery of Sustainable Development Goal 3 – good health and wellbeing for all at all ages. This way, our consumers will feel part of a bigger picture and know that their buying habits are creating change for good.

Our two community projects will include:

Free infant safety and nutrition courses in low-income areas of Nairobi.

We will team up with a fully trained paediatric nurse from Toto First Aid to deliver free first aid workshops for parents and carers, focusing on choking, CPR and how to respond to allergic reactions.

Little Qwean will provide workshops on the weaning process, how to safely introduce solid foods, food safety preparation and healthy first foods for babies.

Nutrient Dense Zero Waste Programme

We wish to create a range of free baby food to be distributed in low-income areas of Nairobi.

The objective here is not only to provide nourishment to vulnerable babies but it will use up any food from the company that might have otherwise gone to waste. Reducing waste has a significant environment impact and providing nutrient-dense meals for babies will work towards their health and wellbeing. We will work with LNGO to identify need and cultural preferences in order to develop specialised high-calorific and nutrient-rich dishes for distribution in areas of malnourishment.
